What is a landscape picture ?
When i think of landscape, i think of different sights that you don't exactly see everyday. Sights I think of are included below. I also think of landscapes as views, that if most people saw they would stop and take a photograph. You see many of these photographs on social media, such as Instagram as these pictures maybe quite rare and could even go quite viral. The venues for these landscape pictures also stand out in different weather seasons, for example a picture of a mountain would look standing out quite well in a winter season, such as with a lot of snow being scattered across the mountains.

Dafna Talmor
I am focusing on the first image picture above, this picture stood out to me as I though it looked quite interesting as in the centre it seems to look like someone has cut a hole in the middle of the picture. And as this has happened, it has also came out quite well and blends in the picture quite well. I also think that the nature aspect links quite well in the picture, including where it looks like a beach in the central of the picture on perhaps a nice cool evening.
Another of the pictures also stand out well to me and that is the fourth picture, I like this picture for a few reasons including the way it has been presented as you can look at this picture and have your thoughts about this picture in many ways. For example I like the way you can look at this picture and admire the shapes which are involved, I think they all go well together and also looks like a real place such as perhaps a beach especially at the top right of the picture, where it looks as though the shape has some sand with the light brown colour and also includes what looks like water in front of the sand with the light glass looking colour. I also think this picture is very clever such as the gaps which are included between each shape, and referring back to the nature aspect of this picture it looks like a few different lands/beaches which are all close together but separate where all the gaps are.
From what I have explained above about the fourth picture I also think that this links to the fifth picture as well. For example they both have nature aspects in the way they are presented with the same sort of colour lands, which also Include the small gaps between each of them from the centre to the bottom of this picture. The colours are also near enough the same with the sandy like colours for the lady pieces covered with what could be rocks, which is also similar to the colour of the rocky like images between the gaps in the fourth picture.

Corinne Vionnet
I chose this image because I thought that the way this photo was taken or has been edited stood out, as for example it kind of looks like the photographer has made it blurry perhaps to make the audience think about what this landmark looks like in a different perspective. I also chose this image because this is a famous landmark that I think looks rather nice and stands out very well, this famous landmark is set in Moscow, Russia as a cathedral church which has been decorated very well. This photograph can also be seen as quite different to other famous pictures which in includes popular landmarks like this cathedral, as most of these photos are just a normal photo that a person has taken just to admire the view. However, this photographer has gone to work with their photo and has made it look perhaps quite weird but in my opinion goes very well, and makes this photo that little bit more admirable.
In these images that I have collected, I have identified that this person Is possibly interested in taking photographs of landmarks in different places in the world. All of these photos are taken of famous landmarks, artefacts around the globe including the pyramids in Cairo, the famous Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, and the famous Big Ben clock in London. All of these photos are also taken in the same sort of way, with all the photos seem to be looking like they have been edited in the same way with some blurry effects involved, and have all also been taken from a nice view so that you can see the whole landmark without cutting out any details.

WWW: I think that all of these pictures all have something good in them, for example one that jumps to me is the bottom left picture of the school concourse underneath the walking bridge. The reason why this appeals to me is the way the weather really links well to the picture, in my opinion the weather full of grey clouds makes the photograph almost like a Gothic like picture, that you would link to a sort of Jekyll and Hyde photograph with the setting being like a gothic place in Soho. I think the way I caught this photograph has come out really well, the clouds make the picture like the weather is about to rain really heavily or perhaps something even more severe such as a thunderstorm.
Another of the photographs that also stand out to me is the far right picture at the top, this photograph also jumps to me because of how the clouds are presented and I have caught a lot of the sky in my photograph. I also like the way that there is a lot of greenery presented with a few trees also scattered mainly in the kind of centre of the picture. Furthermore, I also like the fact of the background of the houses and buildings that you can see at the back of the picture, this makes the photograph look more like a sort of park and also adds more real life features that makes this photograph even more British if you like with the greenery that you see in parks, the trees and the buildings at the far back of the picture.

Lucien Hervé
These four images are taken by former Hungarian photographer Lucien Hervé, whose images above can all be seen as similar in many ways. For example, all of these images shown above have all been taken in black and white, as well as showing what looks like famous monuments or landscapes, such as the third one, which looks like some sort of monument. Moreover, the second image also looks to have been taken in a building and can also symbolise an everlasting distance view, as the photo doesn't seem to stop as if the building keeps going on further than the photo can show.
Another of the images above that I admire is the first image on the left which looks to have been taken from a Birdseye view above, which enables us to view the photo with a greater precision to see more detail involved within the photo. Therefore, we can make more judgements regarding the photo, and use our imagination for why the photographer may have taken the image. Because of this I can predict that this photograph has been taken in a room within a building, which looks to be a rather large room with many what looks to be windows surrounding the center of the image.

Helene Binet
These images are taken by Swiss-French photographer Helene Bilet, known for her black and white designs. All of these images above are very imaginative and can be seen through many different perspectives. I admire these images as they show different perspectives designed to test your imagination, and think of many scenarios where these images could be used. For example, i admire the bottom photograph as it shows a continuous pattern involving everlasting stairs, which don't seem to find a conclusion. Furthermore this could mean many different things involving perhaps Helene Binet's experiences, or a symbol for perhaps life which can seem to go on and on without there being an actual conclusion.
Dafna Talmor
Dafna Talmor is a British artist born in London known for her photography and collaborations, famous places which are included in her photos are the Victoria museum and the Albert museum, Deutsche Bank and more. Her most recent solo shows are Straight Lines which are a human invention at the Sid Motion Gallery in London,2019. Furthermore other shows include Constructed Landscapes at the TOBE Gallery in Budapest,Hungary in 2018 also Photofusion which was also in London in 2017.
This photograph above is taken by Dafna Talmor, this photo can be seen in different ways and from different perspectives by the way that you look at it, or also by whatever angle that you may look at it.
What I mainly like about this photograph is how it has been mainly presented, including the way that she has edited this design to make the photo link well and by the way it can be seen as many different things. For example I like the fact of how the gaps between the sculptures are designed, which makes this photo stand out, and can also made to be seen as a possible real place/land that has been taken somewhere in the world. For instance I think that this design is similar to perhaps a river with the see through blue, which looks like the water and going back to the gaps, which make this photo look like a well designed photo of a 'beach' which gives an idea that the place which this photo has been taken at, is a famous place which is known for perhaps nicely layed out rivers.

These two images are similar to the image above which has been designed by Dafna Talmor, they are both presented in the same sort of way with the way that they are designed, and how they both include the gaps between them as also shown in the image above. These gaps make the images look real as in the way that it makes the first image on the left look like a sort of mountain, and the second image on the right as if that is the ground at somewhere presented as a warm place with the red also clearly shown in the image.
Overall I like the way Dafna Talmor presents her images as I think that they are different and stand out against all the rest, with these images being made to be modern and zoomed in as if technology has come into this to play a part in how these images have been created. Furthermore these images also make you play with your mind, to make you think about different solutions that these images could have been inspired from.

Charles Wilkin
Charles Wilkin is an American college artist who was born in 1969, from Buffalo, New York, America. He was educated at the BFA, Columbus College of Art and Design. He is mostly known for the use of paper scraps just like the photo that i analysed above, Charles Wilkin has also has had work shown in solo and group shows in major cities, such as London,Barcelona, Los Angeles and more. Wilkin most recently exhibited at Saatchi's The Other Art Fair in Brooklyn, New York, in which his work is part of collections of designs in Washington DC and Hamburg, Germany.
I admire this photo because the photographer Charles Wilkin has used a lot of imagination into his work and has added a few different themes, which have ended up linking well with the main photo, and the setting of this photo. One theme that I like is how Charles Wilkin has added a what seems to be a nice setting of a place which looks to be somewhere like Los Angeles, or another nicely presented state in America. I also like how much this photo in the bottom right goes well with the main setting of ice which looks to be from a typically cold country in europe such as Norway, and I think that the way Charles Wilkin has made two completely opposite photographs link well, two photos from different places in the world makes this photo stand out. The main themes of this photo on the whole is mainly geography, as you can also see a cut out from perhaps a map or an atlas near the bottom left of the photograph. The colour of this cut out is also similar to the snowy aspect of the photo, which the cut out of the map is stuck on the top of.
Awoiska van Der Molen
These three images are by a Dutch photographer called Awoiska van Der Molen, and as you can see all of her images are in black and white, and are also typically taken from a natural perspective by taking images which include a lot of natural imagery. She was born in 1972 and is 49 years old, she joined the Minerva Art Academy in 1994 and left in 2001. She was also educated in the Hunter City Academy from 1999-2000, and the MFA in Photography from 2001-2003. From 1994-2001 she was educated in Groningen, Netherlands, and from 1999-2000 was educated in New York, USA in the Hunter City Academy. Her most recent piece was the 'Muziekgebouw aan het IJ' in the autumn of 2021, she also has an upcoming piece which is set to be released next year in the spring of 2022.
In my opinion the black and white make the photo look a lot different but in a good way, for example especially on the first and third image above the black and white make the images quite gothic and also quite windy, as in a windy winters night. I think this because it looks as though that the trees in these images above are shaking and moving, which you would think is because it's very windy in the air which would be blowing the trees side to side. Also I think that these images link to the gothic theme, mainly because of the black and white theme of the pictures, and also with the link that these pictures are taken in a perhaps dark winters night where the weather is typically cold and miserable.

Luke Saxon
Luke Saxon is a British photographer who has a set of photos that he has taken and has created a series for them called 'true north', which include different photos taken in the north west of England that bring a lot of nostalgia to him, through when he used to visit these places as a young child.
These are three of the photographs taken by Luke Saxon which are all set and taken in the north of England, these photographs include places that are in the north such as a fish and chip shop, and photographs where the photographer has mixed and blended two different photos into one which go really well and are also imaginative.
I really like the photo at the top right which includes Saxon mixing two different photos which are both of a place to play football in, which have been taken at a park, and also a place to play football at a what looks like an own created football net which has possibly been marked with a crayon on the outside wall. I think that these two separate photos go well as they look quite realistic in some ways, as they are both the same sort of thing where you can play football on and with them both blended together, they just look like one big net just with different backgrounds and goalposts.
Furthermore, I also admire the top left picture of what looks like has been taken from a movie scene which can be seen as if a building has gone on fire, and has created one of them grey clouds which occur after an event such as that. I also think that to catch a photograph like that is quite rare, as you don't often see an event like this where someone has taken a photo from, which adds to the creativity and enjoyment/possible sadness in some ways that you get from this photo as it depends how you look at it.

Disrupted Landscape Images
All of these 11 photographs that i took were taken outside of the school whilst using a plastic cover, which was over my camera on my phone to see what these photographs would look like using a different method. As you can see the photos at the top are much more clearer than the ones at the bottom, with the photos on the top being taken from a single use of plastic cover, whereas the ones taken on the bottom are by using a double plastic cover which makes these photographs much more blurry and hard to see. The photos on the top are quite clear to see just a bit different to photos which are taken quite normally without using methods such as this. However the photos on the bottom are much different to the photos on the top, and with the blurry photos you can argue that this makes the photos look like they have been taken in the fog, this creates a completely different dimension to the setting.
All of these photos were all taken similarly in the way that all my photos are taken in the same environment, and all involve either imagery that links to rural with all the nature, and also buildings which I took a few of the school and the concourse. I had about 20 minutes to find and take around 11 images that I could see around the school, and in that time I found these particular landscapes and used the method I explained above and then took the photo.

These images were all taken in the same place, so all of these images have the same setting involved by being taken around the same type of surroundings. The idea of these images was to take pictures of a certain image but to not show the whole of the image/object, for example all of the photos that I took off the buildings, only show part of the building and not the whole of the building.
WWW: Some of these pictures that I took I felt came out very well, for example I like the way that the last picture on the bottom right has been shown. As you can see the nearest object in the image, the railings is very well shown, and the background is not as clear as the railings which in my opinion makes this image stand out out of a lot of them. I like these types of images, as it can also make it look as though you are close to the object and that you have tried to take the image from a different type of angle, compared to the rest of the images.
Furthermore, I also admire the photo on the middle row on the far left corner of the greenery field, this image represented the nature and real life, with the house shown in the background which gives a sense of country life towards the image. This is presented through the grass, the brown leaves and the hill in the far center of the image. This image is also very different compared to the rest, as most of my other images are mainly objects/buildings.

For example I like the way that I have make the walls/the floor lighter, and how I have made the setting as though the sunshine is shining on the structure of the building. Furthermore as you can see the lighting effects are also seen on the glass door window on the left hand side of the picture, this makes the window look more clean in some ways and also gives you the view of shadows that are visible if you look closely in.
EBI: I feel that my third edited image could be improved on the whole, including the way that the photo is very small with most of the picture consisting of the background. This makes me only being able to visualise not so much of the picture as if it was presented like my edited photograph in the middle. However the photo does stand out to me as being in black and white, and as being presented as quite retro. This is presented through the black and white aspect of the photo, and the main setting of the photo, which is buildings and concrete.

Photoshop
Photographer research
These images above are created by Swiss born photographer Robert Frank, who was most known for his famous book published in 1958, The Americans which included views on American society. He visited many popular cities in America which he took many of his photographs, some of these cities and landmarks included Miami Beach, Florida, Los Angeles,California and Chicago.
What I admire about these images above is the way that the photographer has taken photos of different scenarios, for example the way that the people are looking/facial expressions, which gives a sense of the theme of the photograph, for example an indication of sadness perhaps.
I personally like the first photograph on the left which shows a man and a woman, which are potentially a couple with the man in the photo looking in an awkward sort of way, which gives a sense of awkwardness. The woman on the other hand looks as though she is asleep. I think the way that the photographer has caught this photo has been executed very well, and gives the person viewing this many different opinions for what the photograph presents and shows.

John Devolle
These two images above are taken by photographer John Devolle, whose images caught my eye for being presented as different and well thought about regarding imagination. For example, the image on the left I find interesting as the photographer has clearly photoshopped an image of some sort in the middle of the photo, and placed it bang in the centre of the forest where I'm presuming that Devolle took the photo from, and then decided to further expand on. I also admire the mixture of pink and red colours being presented by Devolle, who has used the colour pink to be represented as either smoke or possibly a flare, which looks to be coming from the object presented in the centre of the photo, and possibly swifting into the air. On the other hand the pink could be presented as a light, as on the tree it looks to be a light connected to the branch which is the reason that the object in the middle is standing out with that extra light being shining onto.
The second image on the right has also been edited very well, as Devolle has added a what looks to be bear on the image which adds an element of the photo looking that extra terrifying, with the added element of the dark sky which makes the photo seem to have been taken in the dark, adding more uncertainty with a gothic theme towards the image. Furthermore, the use of the animal being shown in a red colour makes the animal look more scary, as the colour red typically gives a sense of horror and crime, as well as red being seen as blood which further emphasises upon the theme of mystery.

Practical work
I feel that these images above have been developed very well and have came out looking creative and colourful. I also admire how they came out differently especially the difference between the first image on the left compared to the other two designs, including the colour and detailed affect. The image that catches my attention is the middle image by the way the pink has came out, and with the black and white lines being presented on the card. The pink that is being presented is a darkish pink, which I also think links well with the black and white aspect.
I think that I could have developed these images further if I maybe found a way to have more colours presented on the card, such as the first image on the left despite the darkish red and brown linking well. I think that if there were maybe one or two extra colours presented on the card, scattered about along with the brown and red, and then this image would have been developed to its best.
In the task that I managed to create these three designs, we were given vaseline, olive oil and more chemicals to use to get our final designs and use to release these colours onto the card. I think that this task was different to other tasks that I have completed before, and because of that I enjoyed the practical more and ended up with well made final pieces.

These images above are photos of a piece that I did in class, and have been blown up onto the big screen. Also these photos have been adjusted by placing a circular card over the image. This has been done to make the photo be seen in a different perspective, giving more ideas for how the photo may look by being edited with shaped card over the work shown on the screen. As you can see the circular card links well with my work, especially the work shown on the left, as I have includes many circles/dots that I placed on my design using colored pen. Therefore the circular card makes it as though there are more circles on my work, and to an extent expanding on the circles already shown on the photo.
All of these photos apart from the first one on the top left have been edited for improvement, with most of these being screenshots from photoshop. As you can see the first two photographs on the top left are the same photo, however I have put them side by side to show the improvement that I made, as I felt that lighting up the photo would make a difference in making the photo stand out more. This helps as in my opinion, a photograph always gives out a better outlook when the weather is nice and the sun is out, giving the viewer much better thoughts towards the photo. In the first photo on the far left, the photo seems to be darkish with the weather looking cloudy despite the blue sky, which gave me the thought and motivation to change this. So, because of this I adjusted the brightness to a higher level, which ultimately changes the whole dynamics regarding the photo. After this I pretty much used the same technique with the other images, making them brighter to give a sense of shine towards the photos, excluding the penultimate image on the bottom left which I have made darker to change it up slightly, and for an understanding for what an decreased adjusted brightness photo would look like.
I took all of these images above, which I took and also edited as you can see in the image which I have made the photo red and white, as though that the image has been taken place in a horror movie, as the red can symbolise blood where a person is walking over. I like the way that I photoshopped this photo, as the red and white link well together with the red being shown to represent the ground, and the white being used to show the upstairs ground as though the ground has been painted over. I did this using the paint bucket tool on adobe illustrator. Moreover, I also felt that the photo below the edited image also came out very well, with the shadows being presented through the light intensity of the sun beaming from the sky, which opens up the chance to take a shadowed photograph. Furthermore, this adds a new element towards the photograph, with the shadows opening up imagination to be explored as though that the image can symbolise an event, or possibly to foreshadow an event of some sort.
